Presenting Our Community-Based Prevention Programs

HomeBlogPresenting Our Community-Based Prevention Programs

At REACH Council, it’s important to us that communities understand that prevention is a group effort, which is why we offer a variety of community-based prevention programs and events. From students and parents to mentors and leaders in the community, we feel that everyone can benefit from learning more about prevention and how to provide much-needed support.

Presenting Our Community-Based Prevention Programs

Here are a few events where our community-based programs might be beneficial:

  • Health Fairs: Health fairs are the perfect place for us to present our community-based prevention programs, especially since we have programs geared for almost every age range. We can also provide useful resources for attendees to pick up and share with family members after the event.
  • Church Events: Since we have programs for a variety of ages, we can present during church events, such as bible school, teen youth lock-ins, or after services, depending on your needs.
  • Pre-Prom or Pre-Graduation Events: We can also present our programs to the community, particularly the younger members and their parents, prior to big events such as prom or graduation. This allows parents and their teens to discuss what they learn and address any concerns.
  • Town Council Meetings: Our community-based prevention programs can also be presented at town council meetings to engage community members and promote discussion about current initiatives or needs the town may have regarding substance use.
  • Back to School Events: As many schools have open houses prior to the beginning of the school year, our team can attend these events and provide resources for students and parents or deliver one of our programs, depending on time and need.
