We bring engaging prevention programs to schools.
Children and teens are exposed to drugs, alcohol, and other harmful substances at earlier and earlier ages today. At REACH Council, our mission is to empower students to make positive decisions and prevent substance abuse and the consequences that come with it. This is why we provide evidence-based prevent programs at schools and other community locations throughout the Ellis County, Texas area.
Our school-based prevention programs provide education on healthy life skills, such as:
- Developing healthy friendships
- Identifying and managing emotions
- Developing peer refusal skills
These programs also provide developmentally appropriate education on the harms of substance abuse. All of our school-based prevention programs are informative, fun, and engaging. We can provide these programs during large assemblies or in smaller group settings.
For example, our Kids Connection/CBSG Program is a school-based prevention program for elementary-aged students. This program is conducted in a small group setting and addresses topics like making healthy choices, setting goals, and building positive self-esteem.
Our Too Good For Drugs program is another of our school-based prevention programs, but it is specifically designed for middle school students. Conducted in a regular classroom setting, the lessons teach prevention strategies and coping skills to help kids avoid unhealthy situations.
We want to provide more information about why our school-based prevention programs are the right option for your individual school or your school district as a whole. For additional information or to learn more about our programs, contact us today.
At REACH Council, we offer school-based prevention programs for those from Johnson County, Ellis County, Midlothian, and Hill County, Texas.
