Community-Based Prevention Programs in Midlothian, Texas

One of our community-based prevention programs focuses on guiding and inspiring those throughout our community to become the solution. We work closely with faith-based organizations, local businesses, and schools to increase prevention infrastructure and provide prevention opportunities, specifically in the areas of mental health and substance misuse. We work with members of our community to identify substance-use-related issues and enact community-level activities to address these problems. This can happen through supporting prescription take-back days and hosting presentations at local schools.

Additionally, our Youth Recovery Support Communities program is a peer recovery support program designed to provide a wide range of non-clinical supports and services to those between the ages of 13-21. This program offers youth and young adults peer counseling, facilitated support group meetings, social activities, education and employment support, and community service projects.

Ultimately, our community-based prevention programs are here to serve children, youth, and adults, reducing the risk of drug and substance abuse in our area. For more information about our community-based prevention programs and the good we are doing in our communities, contact us today.
